Ruby Blade Drag

I was excited to try this new swivel knife with both the ruby blade and the ceramic blade. Once thing I have found is the ruby blade has a lot of drag when using vs. the ceramic blade. I typically polish my ceramic blade with jeweler's rouge but, I am not sure if the same can be done to the ruby blade due to its hardness. I send this question to Ivan Leather's customer service but, have not received a reply.
