Horween® Waxed Flesh Chromexcel uses a classic hot-stuffing formula refined over nearly 100 years, infusing oils and waxes deep into the leather’s flesh side for a distinctive and durable texture. The flesh side is finished, while the grain side remains untouched. Horween’s proprietary process hand-dyes the flesh side. The leather is then hand-glazed to achieve a tight flesh texture and a final luster. WF CXL is considered a “rough out” or “flesh out” leather and is commonly used in footwear, especially boots. Both sides can be used, and the leather may bear a brand mark on the grain side.
