For this low price of this item there shouldn't be any complaints, but it was a bit frustrating for two reasons: First of all, the pieces on the pattern were not identified and (as a novice) it wasn't clear that one of them was a gusset piece and that TWO of them should be cut. Nor was that mentioned at all in the text instructions. So after dyeing and finishing the edges of the leather I cut out, I had to go back and cut and finish another piece. If it had been mentioned that this was a gusset and that two were needed, all would have been cut out at the same time and finished together. Second, the markings for the stitching holes are not correct... the holes for the gussets have 17 marked holes while the main body piece has 18. So pre-punching the stitching holes following the pattern (as I did) means the holes will NOT align with each other and there will be a left over hole in the body piece.
Hello Mtl_Biker,
We're very sorry to learn the frustration you experience and appreciate the feedback you've provided. We have updated our instruction with clear marking of the components. You'll get a updated email link to download the new instruction at your convenience. In regards to the number of holes on the cover and gusset not matching, we've included a photo for clarification. The extra hole is intended for a loop stitch over the edge of the gusset to ensure the components stay in place during prolonged use. We hope this information helped to address some of the confusion.
Again we appreciate the time you've taken to review our products. We'll do better next time. Best regards, Ivan Leathercraft Team.
